"We had brunch at this place and we really liked the food and coffee. Pros: - Great food and coffee! - Shakshouka is a must-try! - Has indoor and outdoor dining area. - Has free parking. Feedback: - Better to have payment options other than cash and Instapay. - Parking area on the left side is uncemented. - The place can get really crowded and noisy. - Can be probably hotter/humid in summer time."

"Love the vibe but at noon it gets really heated up. Also, it’s kind of dark inside Food— we ordered the mushroom sandwich not sure about the name of the platter, and donuts. Love love love the donuts! The dulce de leche flavor is a must try. The mushroom sandwich, I wasn’t able to finish. Super nakakaumay— parang same lang lasa all throughout and no difference pa in texture. Ate half tas I had to give the half to my husband which he wasn’t able to finish as well. His order is good tho. Need lang ng acidity ng all dishes that we ordered I guess. For the price point sulit naman yung offerings. The distinct smell of butter super okay din hehe"

"I went here for breakfast on two consecutive days because I wanted to try more of their offerings(and I’m glad I did). The pastries and coffee were really good: freshly baked, flavorful, and perfect for a slow morning. Most items were great, however, the chicken sandwich I tried was a bit dry for my preference. Still, the overall quality and variety made the experience worth it. The space has a cozy, welcoming vibe. The staff were accommodating, and the service was smooth even if the place got busy. Prices felt fair for the quality you’re getting. Overall, it’s a great spot to start your day in La Union! Recommend getting their special latte, croissant, and their sourdough!"

"NOV.2025 - Masa Bakehouse is definitely popular. The place gets really crowded, especially during peak hours. Still, the line moves at a decent pace. The food is genuinely good and worth trying. Their food is flavorful, and clearly well-made, which explains why so many people keep coming back. Everything we tried tasted satisfying and comforting, the kind you’d expect from a well-loved restaurant. That said, the crowd and self-service setup might not be for everyone, especially if you’re looking for a relaxed, sit-down experience. Just be ready for the busy atmosphere."

"Back at our fave breakfast spot but in Elyu and it feels SO good to be home at @masabybarefoot We seriously missed this place after they closed their BF branch last year, so this comeback hit different. Of course, we ordered our forever favorite. Shakshouka, Happy Plate and finally tried their chicken burger.. 10/10 would crave again. The place was packed, the vibe was warm and buzzing, and that smell of freshly baked bread the moment you walk in? Instant happiness. Some spots just feel like comfort. And this one will always be it. #MasaBakehouse #LaUnionEats #BreakfastGoals #BrunchVibes #hoteliermom"

"If you’re planning a trip to San Juan, La Union, Masa Bakehouse is a mandatory pitstop. Known for its rustic, open-air vibe and artisanal doughs, it has quickly become a cornerstone of the local food scene. While their pastries are tempting, a favorite, the OG Beef Grilled Cheese is a must-have and here’s why: * The Beef: It’s stuffed with tender, slow-cooked beef pares, giving it a Filipino twist that sets it apart from any other grilled cheese. * The Bread: Using their signature sourdough, the sandwich is toasted to a perfect, buttery crunch that holds up against the rich filling. * The Dip: It comes with a side of savory pares consommé. Dipping the cheesy, beefy sandwich into the warm broth is a total game-changer. The space is airy, tropical, and very "Elyu." It’s the perfect place to slow down, enjoy the coastal breeze, and fuel up before (or after) a surf session. Just a heads-up: it gets busy on weekends, so try to head there early to snag a seat."

"Great food and instagrammable place. There’s plenty of parking and seating too. We ordered happy plate, OG beef grilled cheese, spanish latte cold, special latte cold, hot mocha and hot cappucino. Serving is generous and can be good for up to two people and the pricing is just right. Would have scored five starts if not for the wait times and hot environment during lunchtime as AC is not available. Strictly cash payment at the time of dining."

"Definitely a must-visit place in San Juan LU!Food is very affordable and is good for 2 people per serving. Highly recommend the OG Beef Grilled Cheese and WaterLemon! The other food we ordered were also good: Shakshouka, Happy Plate, Hipster Chicken Sandwich, and Breakfast Burger. Their breads are super great and affordable too!"
